PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 15, 2017 – Mr. Robert Briskman, Board Member of Gordian Knot Analytics Group, Inc., was awarded the International Astronautical Federation Hall of Fame award for 2017 for his lifetime achievements and significant contributions to the progress of the field of astronautics.

He joins other noted luminaries in the field of astronautics including Dr. Edward Stone, Prof. Vladimir Kopal, Mr. Hans Hoffmann, and Prof. U. R. Rao.

Rob has been involved with the implementation of satellite communications systems since their inception with key positions at IBM, NASA, COMSAT, and Geostar Corporation. Rob is currently President of Telecommunications Engineering Consultants, and is a key Member of Gordian Knot’s Board of Directors. Previously, he co-founded Sirius Satellite Radio in 1991 serving as Executive Vice President, Engineering. Rob received his Bachelor of Science degree from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
